Hi,

sorry for asking this question. but, can someone explain me what is 'H1b/VISA transfer' actually? What process it involves and how much time it takes? (plus what does it depend on?)

Also,
I got an opportunity to join a company which has approved labor (sate and fedral approved) with them. Can anyone tell me how easy it is? (I mean how will I be able to use that labor approval?), plus how much time it will take to file my 485 and other papers etc.?

Thanks for your expert help, in advance.

... H1 Transfer: Changing employer in US.

... New emplyer needs to submit petition on your behalf to USCIS service center. You may work for the new employer while petition is pending at USCIS service center. For timing check, USCIS website.

...Make sure your qualification (experirnce/education) matches or exceeds the min. required in LC petition. Also, inquire about the employer regarding their ability to pay wages.

If employer already got LC approved, you can file I-485 right away along with I-140.
