I got my CP done a week back in India and intend to enter US next month. My CP as on EB2 and my dependents include wife and 2 kids. Due to personal reasons, I may have to come back and stay in India for 2 years. I intend to apply for reentry permit for 2 years.
During the period of reentry permit I will be visiting US every couple of months (never a break of more that 6 months ouside US). I will file US Taxes and might also have some US Income (W2) each year.
After the expiry of reentry permit (2 years) I intend to go back and live in US for 3 years.
Question is: Would I, after five years, have satisfied both conditions of citizenship. Does the fact that I had applied for reentry permit make me ineligible even if have never been out of US for more than 6 months?
