Hi JoeF, I read your citizenship interview questions.
Could you tell me if GC is taken away at the interview or later after approval?
We are suppose to carry GC as proof of legal status when donot have citizenship. What happens after citizenship? Do you carry passport as a proof. Please clarify & comment. I just want to know how is it handled.

Thanks a million in advance. :)

I'm not JoeF but while I'm in this thread....

1. GC is taken away before the oath ceremony
2. By law you are supposed to carry GC with you at all times (not that I know that many people who actually do)
3. I don't think you need to carry anything to proof that you are a citizen. Many people in the US don't even have a passport.
