job transfer to another state

Hi,
I applied my labor from NJ now I have to take a transfer to NY office. Am I able to keep my NJ labor going.. I'm working for the same company but at a different location. My attorneys say I'll have to file a fresh application from NY.
If my company does not tell DoL, will they know? Or do they ask the company if the employee is at the same location before approving labor?

I think you no need to file another LC in NY.

What if I get them to re-apply in PERM/EB2 (from NY). Will I be able to file for 140/485 or they are retrogressed too??
