job title change?

Please advise! My current job title is different from LC title but same duties. Received employement letter RFE for 485. does difference matter in RFE response?

Reply in such a way that...

the job responsibilities are similar for both job titles. You can go up an abstraction level to do that. You can also research onet online to see what are the similar titles possible..

INS took so long that...

Your promotion cannot be put on hold. Only if you change employers will INS ask for proof of employment. You will not have any problem. Even if INS generates a RFE or calls for interview to check your employment status you can argue on the same lines...
