Job letter and resume for visa stamping

Should my job letter and resume for visa stamping contain exact duties that were mentioned in my petition letter.

I am performing many new higher level duties (with core duties remaining the same)within the same department in addition to the job responsibilities in my H-1B petition letter. Should I also state these duties in the resume and job letter.

I would really appreciate a response

Petition responsibilities and job offer letter should be similar without any stark differences.
Resume only has your previous jobs, so I don't see how that matters.

Should the resume not mention the current job? My company filed my petition in 2007 and I have been working with the company since then

I am concerned because I am working with the same company since last 3 years. If I mention the same duties that were mentioned in the petition letter than it might create a impression that I am not growing as far as job duties are concerned and that I am doing same work. Will it create a problem if I mention all my current duties including new duties related to the same field.

I think your job letter need not exactly replicate the petition letter. You can add duties to it if you have worked for the same position since last 3 years. Guys, Correct me if I am wrong

I don't think USCIS or US consulates are interested in knowing whether your career is growing or not.

Re: Job letter & petition roles/responsibilities

Hello Folks:

I am in a similar situation.

If I understand the gist of this thread then:
1) One needs to mention the duties in the Job Letter exactly as is in the
petition. NO two ways about this
2) Mention any NEW duties and roles/responsibilities (since
it may have been a while and you may have grown in the company)

Let me know if this plan is sound. I will follow this unless I hear the seniors say otherwise.

Thank you in advance

Vishal
