Job Code 030.062-010

My labor has been filed and approved as software engineer with labor code 030.062-010. I-140 has been approved and I-485 pending for 180+ days. I am trying to figure out if I switch the job then:
- What titles can I apply for besides software engineer (software architect, systems analyst, technical manager are okay?) Is there a website where titles for this code are listed?
- Can a job with an MS requirement invalidate my I-140 because my current employer filed it as EB3 (bachelors degree requirements) but I later got an MS.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

Sorry, not responding to your question, but I have a question myself. How long before the I-140 was approved?

It should not hurt. To avail AC-21 only the job description and salary needs to matched.

link to map DOT code to new SOC codes

Use this link to find the new SOC codes, my labor is also certified as a software engineer with the same code, and if you use this DOL link to map the DOT code to the new SOC code it translates to codes 15-1031.00 and 15-1032.00 both of which use Sample of reported job titles as a software engineer. hope this helps

Until you get the actual card, whenever you switch an employer, you are invoking AC21 each time. Now the question is, should you proactively inform BCIS every time? Some say you should and others say no need to.

Does this answer your question ?

Got into doing some search on my own and this is what I found.

"Dictionary of Occupational Titles"
Ref Link
http://www.oalj.dol.gov/../../../public/ina/refrnc/69_Fed_Reg_77326.pdf

And detailed Explaination for how "job code" interpreted.

Quick Questions folks,
If AC-21 is approved once , then should we apply AC-21 everytime we make a Switch?

Appreciate a response from someone

No of times to submit AC21

Thanks Bronco

That does answer my question. Basically I would read it as "to be on safe side file AC21 even though its optional"

No clear guidelines by INS on whether to file or not.

Right?
