My 485 has been pending since March 2002 (13 monthes) and I am using my second EAD card. I have an interesting job offer that I am trying to make a decision. It is same kind of job and same kind of company. How will this affect my green card? Shoud I be extremely careful about changing job or it is ok as long as it is the same kind of job and I make more money? Appreciate your opinion.

Same Job.

I don`t think there should be any problem if the new job is similar to your prior job. I am in the same situation and have decided to change my job. My RD is also 03/02.
The only decision you have to make is about informing the BCIS now or later when most probably an RFE will be issued. I personally have decided to take the later course.

what do you mean by now or later ? How is later acceptable ? Please clarify
Also another question, what about a job change with a different title?

By later I mean when or if you recieve a RFE for employment, you or your lawyer can send a letter invoking AC21 along with proof of current employment.
Going by the experience of some users of this site(most recently `dilip`) it seems they informed the BCIS only upon receiving the RFE and apparently they were approved without a problem.
Certainly every case is individual therefore you or your lawyer will have to take the final decision.
Regarding your second question as long as you are able to prove that your employment is similar (as per my attorney, a letter from new employer detailing your work) you should be OK.
But as I said earlier every case is individual as are the adjudicators !!
