Job change on TN status

Hi:

I am currently a holder of TN status under "Accountant" category, living in Canada and travelling occasionally to the US.

I have a new employer, a US employer willing to offer me a similar role as what I'm currently performing. This would involve moving to the US. The nature and duties of the new role will be essentially the same. Renumeration, etc will be different.

I know from a prior post on this forum that "as long as the nature of the role is the same (which it is) I do not need a new I-94 card and may continue on existing TN status.

Question 1: Would the job change be something I should disclose to the US CBP officer when I enter the US?
Question 2: If I'm entering the US to reside on TN status, would I not need to get my new employer to generate a new job letter?

I think you have misinterpreted a previous post. Anytime you get a new employer (sponsor) you need to get a new TN. What you may have read is in regardss to a Tner changing positions within the same firm, or perhaps a change in ownership/name of a firm.

But in your case, new sponsor means new TN, regardless if you were going to move to the US or were already there.
