Jim/Others!! Security Checks for Indian Nationals?

Hi All

I am planning to go to India and get my H1b extension stamped. The Question I have is will the Embassy would do any security Checks on me for Security Clearance, causing delays? I am an Indian National, with an Indian Passport, born in India. I have been here in U.S. for 2 years on H1b. Please reply...

The police security clearance is for GC applicants.

If you are going to do your CP(GC final stage- alternative to 485) then you need security clearance.

The Police Clearance Certificate is required only for Green Card processing - the documents required for H1 processing are pretty much the same as they used to be, and there are no additional times being taken for additional security checks when you apply for an H1 Visa.
