Jim, others, Can i do H1 Stamping in London?

Hello gurus,
      I am currently on a workpermit and working in UK. I am a citizen of India. Before leaving to UK i got a offer from company in US and they had applied for H1, the H1 got approved. Currently i have the H1 approval notice with me. My question is can i get the H1 stamped in London? For information I was in US on H1 and worked in US for more than 4 years.

RFE-Urgent help needed!

I got a RFE for H1b transfer saying , please list all your prev dates of employment and employer. My lawyer says he forgot to send my old H1b petitions to INS. and now when I reply to RFE , I will get denied. Is this true. Any advice, shd I seek a new lawyer?

Why not reply and include all the old approval notices? It seems like the obvious solution.

Processing in London

Since you have a reason to be in London they probably will process the H-1. They still can say that they are unable to properly adjudicate the petition. The embassy in London is more likely to to process the H-1 if they are the consulate named on the approval notice.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your time answering the questions. The approval notice has Mumbai as the consulate, but as said i am in London on Work Permit. Is it a good idea if i visit the embassy and get it stamped.

The other question is, if i get the visa stamped how much time i should take for entering in to US? do i have to enter immediately?.

How soon i have to get the visa stamped after getting the approval notice?. The validity of the visa.
