Iam located in St louis. My company is going to apply for GC. They are filling LC in chicago labour department. Does St louis LC goes to Chicago DOL?. When they apply for LC, What type of confirmation i get by Chicago DOL ?. How much time it is taking now days. Can i track with that information ?.

If your lawyer knows what he/she is doing I would go along with that. However, there is no way to trace the labor application. Dept. of labor does not respond to applicant\'s enquiries.
Generally for labor you apply with the state DOL and then the case get transferred to federal DOL. I guess the chicago DOL is the federal one, which means that your approval might come faster. Find out whether they are doing a RIR type of LC.

I hope if your Company flis under RIR,St louis Comes under MIchigan SESA, and they currently take 9-10 months to clear RIR cases once it is cleared from SESA your Lawyer will get a letter that case has been sent to Chicago fedral DOL and Chicago takes 4-5 months. If you come under Chicago DOL count SESA 10 months + Fedral DOL 5 Months= 15 months to just recieve your LC cleared in RIR, then I-140 will take 4-5 months, then final step I-485.
you will NOt get any Info fron SESA or DOL, your Lawyer can get.
