Jim Mills , Jaxon.....245(k) question

Registered Users (C)
I have filed my I485 application in may 2001 and now I have been scheduled for an interview at SFO. I now realise that I may have been out of status for a few days in 1998. However, I qualify for 245(k) and have never been out of status since my last entry to US.

Is there anything special I have to do proactively to change my application to 245(k) or will it be automatically considered 245(k). Please advice.

Advice!

On this very important issue, I would advise you to talk to a competent immigration attorney. Why, because there are a couple of factors here that will come into play. If you look at the form "Supplement A to Form I-485", you will have an idea. I would also recommend you to take an immigration attorney with you when you go for the scheduled interview. You can download the above mentioned form from the INS website, or just go to www.shusterman.com, on left side of the webpage, click on "Forms", then click on "Immigration", it will display a list of forms, from there, you can select I-485A form to download.

Am moving to North East: Questions, Please help

Hello folks

I have to move to North East due to family reasons. I fall in the Texas Service Center. My I-485 RD is July 2001. I have an EAD, and not got Finger Printing yet. Texas is currently processing I-485’s that have been applied on March 2000. My current employer will notify INS after I change my job.
My question
1) What are the procedures I need to go through in light of this job change (change in service centers? Address change? Other?)

I would appreciate if anyone could help me on this matter
Thanks

That supplemntal form 485A is for 245(i) only. Is this the same form that we have to use for 245(k) also??? Please reply.....

gcking!

gcking, I apologize for the misunderstanding here. As far as I know, the I-485A form is for 245(i).

Don\'t know!!

It could be because I donot work for the sponsoring employer yet, but intend to join them as soon as my GC processing is done.
