Hi,

When we are talking about I-485 transfers, generally, it means that I-485 files are transfered from the Service Center to one of its local offices because of a recent marriage.

What are the other reasons which get I-485 files to be transfered to somewhere?

Does an I-485 transfer occur between Service Centers, such as from TSC to NSC, or from VSC to TSC, because of job change and address change?

Please provide us with your experiences. Thanks.

Most of the local transfers are random (5% of all the pending 485s get transferred to local INS). The assumption that the transfer because of marriage (you mean married 485 applicants get transferred?!?)
Please dont start rumors / false conclusions...
Yes if you change address and inform BCIS about it you are likely to get case transferred to another service center or ASC.

Thank you, Jaxen.

Not rumors, not false conclusions, but it is my reasoning from my readings on this forum.

Not reasons for transfers? just a random pick?!
