Recently, my wife has applied at the Chennai consulate for her H4 visa. We've provided all the necessary documentation, except for the wedding photos/invitation cards. We couldn't do this because our wedding was a court marriage here in the United States, and the probate judge of the court married us. Now, emailing the consulate, I received the response that "you may apply, and the visa officer will decide"
We've provided further documentation such as car insurance/joint bank account/company letter mentioning her H4/pay stubs that show my status as married.
My question is, since I notice all these websites saying that the wedding photos/invitations are a must, what all can the Chennai consulate do AGAINST my wife's H4 application?
