My 485 is pending. My EAD expires March 18th 2003. I have applied for a renewal mid Jan 2003.

If I dont get my EAD approved by then...my company is willing to sponsor my H1. So if my new H1 is filed before 18th march can I continue to work? Also, does this in anyway conflict with my Greencard?

I dont work for my sponsoring employer.

If your 6 (or 7) years of H1 is not up, yes you can apply.
But the H visas has to be continuous for portability (i.e. continue working when new H1 is pending). So if your previous H1 has already expired, a new H1 will not help your case.

Getting interim EAD is an option...
