I filed an application for L2 EAD with Nebraska Service Center and it\'s been more than 90 days, I haven\'t received EAD. Can I go to INS district office for interim EAD? If yes, then what documents should I take with me?

Thanks.

Dunno about interim EADs for L2... However

it does not hurt to try. You need the EAD receipt, passport and L1 documents.
The interim EAD is a practice that has been there before L2-EADs were announced. So it is subject to the IIO\'s open intrepretation.

In stead of being terminated, can I resign before the 180 days and use EAD? What\'s the consequence

Thanks Jaxen

Thanks!!!. As per new law for L2 EAD, INS has to issue EAD within 90 days. After 90 days Interim EAD can be issued. BUT in a message board other than this, I read a message posted by a L2 EAD applicant . As per him , when he visited INS district office after 90 days for Interim EAD, he was told that this rule/regulation is no more valid ie Interim EAD after 90 days. BUT for INS to change or put in a new regulation , first it has to be published in FR, right. Please comment
