Hello Jaxen,
How are you? I am not sure who you are, but I have seen this user id on lot of postings. And you do seem to know what you are talking about. I would appreciate if you could throw some light on my issue as well.

My I-485 is currently being processed, filed it in June this year. I got my EAD and my finger printing is done as well. Due to slow business / economy my total salary for 2002 is about $20,000 less than what was shown on the Labor (Labor for green card). Will that be a problem when it comes to approval of my 485?

Do you know if anyone with a similar scenario got approved? If yes, then, what explanation did they give to the INS?
Any advice / comments will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Current salary need not be a strict indicator of ability to pay the promised salary by the employer. If there is a RFE, employer can write a letter explaining the economic down turn and promise that after GC approval and after things get better the salary will be appropriately increased to the level promised in LC.
