Jaxen need more advise

I had written a e-mail to chennai consulate abt use of AP and getting back to H1 status.I had asked specifically whether there is any probelm getting H4 after using AP.I have received a reply saying that "when you are in AOS, your spose cannot apply for H4".
Is he crazy ? I am worried now, do they know rules in Chennai consulate ?I know many ppl who got H4 for spose even after applying for AOS.
Also copies of I-129 filed with INS has I-140 approval copy and I-485 receipt as "Addendum to I-129".
Please advise whether is it wise to include these copies along with I-129 petiton copies .Do u think it will create problems ?.

U have a problem...

Not all consular personnel are well versed in intrepreting the various conflicting rules.
If I were you I wont risk confusion due to information overload.

Remember they are DOS people and U probably wont face them again in your life before getting GC.
