My I-485 application is pending more then 6 months (180 days). Now I would like to change job with AC21 regulations. I am little confused about the similar job word. I am explaining my situation here. Tell me if it is a problem or what you will do if you are an IIO.

I have a foreign BS degree in Pharmacy and US Masters degree in Industrial Pharmacy. I am working a pharmaceutical company as a formulation scientist (product reserach, formulation and development of tablet, capsules etc.). MY I-485 is pending with this company. Recently I got the FPGEE (foreign pharmacy equivalency examination) certification which allowed me to be eligible for an Intern Pharmacist (you know what pharmacist do in a drug store). Now I would like to switch my current job (making tablets) to pharmacist (selling and dispensing in a pharmacy). So where I belongs to? Is it similar type? or different? I know you guys may not expert on this pharmaceutical field, so does the IIO. What they will do under the unexplained regulations of similar job category.

Lets start a fruitfull discussion.

i don't think so

i think the new one is definitely not similar to your current one. i'd suggest you consult with a lawyer before making any move.
good luck

See the LC approval or I140 application. The job title will be in one of the documents. Go to http://online.onetcenter.org/ and find the title.
You can see whether the pharmicist title is similar to the one approved thru LC. If not you can try to match details (like tasks, qualifications etc.) If you are not able to do a reasonable match, it will be better to wait until GC before taking the other job.
