Hello people...

Just received the following email from USCIS. I wonder what the RFE is about???

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or
to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On December 15, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence
or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what
additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is
required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the
notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case
status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or
advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please

Hopefully its a simple check and u get approved pretty soon....

yeah...good to see 03 filers movement!! :D

photographs...

It could be the new photographs requirement! when did you send in your pictures? Good luck!

Brij523,

it sure looks like. They are working in waves, it was the 1/03 FP2 wave, and now it's the 1/03 approval / RFE wave.
Japanese, it shouldn't be something bad, probably asking for EVL although I've seen them requesting birth certificates, and such.

Good luck and keep us posted,

Japanese,

I agree with gvaknin it is either an EVL or BC. Keep hounding your attorney and turn it around as fast as possible. Get ready to end this miserable wait soon.

At last some real movement on Jan 03 apps and lot of hope for all of us.

I knew what docs i didn't sent with my application so I expected those RFEs like Birth for me & spouse and MMR vaccine for spouse.
Other then these usual suspects are EVL/current staus in US.

In my case they asked for a copy of approved 140 also.
goodluck

Guys,
Can anyone suggest what we should do for BC. I might have a BC from hospital but my wife doesnt. We filed with the BC from Indian Consulate.

Thx in advance.

I got the same msg as Japanese

I am a May 2003 Concurrent. Today I saw the exact same msg as Japanese.
I looked my docs. I don't hv any thing new to send.

kumarss,

You underestimate the powers of USCIS. Trust me, they will find something to ask for. What about updated EVL??

Any details of RFE Japanese?

Brij523 - I called my attorney to find out if he received the RFE. The receptionist has confirmed that she has received it, but she refuses to fax or tell me what it is about. All she said was - the attorney sent it to you by mail today and you should get it tomorrow. It will tell you everything.

See, you pay these guys big bucks but sometimes, you are not sure if you are really a customer...

should not be something else other than EVL or BC. so get ready to submit both or either one....

Suggest u photocpy all your previous years tax returns,W2, pay stubs for last 3 months, employement letter, BC affadvaits and keep them all ready. If its going to be for medicals then u need to turn aropund and get it done quickly. Probably look around for someone who is going to open tomorrow/ friday . I am guessing the way your attorney is he is going to sit on it even after u send all the docs back to him.

Cheers

kanadian & tanjar -

Thanks for the tip! I am going to make copies of my previus W2s and paystubs. As for BC, I've already submitted the document along with my initial application. Do you think they are gonna ask for it again?

Please publish the lawyer name here so other folks wont use that attorney....this is so stupid that they dont tell you over the phone....I havent seen my RFE but my attorney read both RFEs over the phone and was asking me if I need fax copy and I said no coz he read everyword so I didnt feel to have a fax copy.

So its not just USCIS some Attorneys are helping them as well :)
well I can feel your feeling as I have gone through with this recently.

It sucks

When Attorney don't reply properly it hurts. But in any way best of luck.
