My qualifications:

-----------------------------
- Ph.D. in materials science in US
- 6 US patents and patent applications
- 5 book chapters
- 19 peer-reviewed publications in major scientific journals
- 16 presentations at international conferences
- over 1,500 worldwide journal citations (my graduate research was a hot area)
- reviewed and judged the work of others in the same field
- 8 support letters (3 US universities, 2 US companies, 1 UK university, 1 Australian institute, 1 Japanese company)
-----------------------------

Frankly, I did not anticipate much difficulty with my company-sponsored petition; I was, however, somewhat surprised at the relatively short time it took to approve the case, especially considering the fact that the Nebraska Service Center is the slowest of all the centers).

My company filed my "I-485/EAD/Advance Parole" at the end of January 2005, shortly after the I-140 receipt notice was received (semi-concurrent filing?).

For my I-485 application:
---------------------
Received Date = February 3, 2005
Notice Date = February 4, 2005
---------------------

Nebraska Service Center sent out my finger print notice on February 23, 2005 and I had my Biometrics taken in mid-March. My EAD card and Advance Parole were approved on March 7 and March 10, 2005, respectively. (fast!)

Now I have my fingers crossed and hope my I-485 will be approved soon.
