All information, either direct or indirect, is welcomed to help us make our analysis, while the cases with more details are given higher priority.
 
Henrysh, If I remember right, you posted messages ...

a few months ago when you were a few months away from approval yourself. Did you not want your approval ASAP then.
July RD guys are a few months away from their approval, so they are tracking their cases quite like you did a few months ago.
So, where does the question of greed come in? If only April/May RD guys posted, this board would be eerily quiet.
Therefore, I suggest you let folks be, regardless of what their RD is. I don\'t think July RD guys wanting their approval ASAP in anyway slows down your case :)
 
Does Country make any difference in AOS stage?

Once the visa number is available, PD becomes current for that date and AOS is filed.
I don\'t think, Country of birth is of any relevance after that.

Country plays role BEFORE applying for AOS NOT AFTER.

Pundits, any contradiction to this ?

    Our case detail:

    PD 3/30/00
    RD 4/16/01
    ND 6/4/01
    FP 10/12/01 in San Jose ASC (scheduled at Oakland 11/2/01)
    On 10/17/10, Message change to "FP collected and pending for review..."
    On 1/1/01 Message change to "... process resumed" on Dec. 29 like most of people
    On 1/3/01 Message change to "approved...on Dec.31 2001" for both cases, my wife\'s and mine. Thought it might be the glitch on AVM. Ignore that.
    On 1/4/01 Get approval notice in mail and realize it is true.

If dates retrogress country becomes important once again. At the time of approval country need to be current for that case.

    My I-485 application was finally approved on January 04, 2002 and
    I have received the approval notice today.

    Here are the details of my application processing:

    ND: 03/13/01
    RD: 04/03/01
    FP: 08/17/01
    RFE for 3 paystubs: 10/11/01
    Information sent back on 10/22/01
    RFE information acknowledged on 12/17/01
    I-485 approved on 01/04/02
    Approval notice received on 01/09/02
