Hi, PTL,

Before you received your RFE.. did you call INS ? If you call what did you hear? Becuase I called last night INS...AVM says " a written decision has been mailed". In your case what did you hear on AVM before you received RFE. Greatly appreciate your response.. Reddy

Generally when RFE is issued, message goes like this,"On so and date, a request for additional evidence has been mailed, if you donot recieve this within14 days, speak to IIO etc..

It has to be in Lawyer\'s mailbox. Ask nicely and they will check. Otherwise they will take another

Mine was issued on Jan 28th. Lawyer had it on Feb 1st (Friday). It was replied to on Feb 4th(Monday) and AVM was updated on Feb 6th.

I think vrkrishan, you are saying you heard on AVM on 01/11/02 , does this mean that AVM says RFE setn on this date or this date you heard message, bottom line what date does AVM mention.

         I learnt from AVM that I got RFE on 02/04/02 but I did\'t hear from my lawyer, please let me know with in how many days my attorney will receive it.

        I changed my employer after 180 days, I am not sure how my old lawyer will co-operate to inform about my RFE. Is there any way to find out about RFE???

your lawyer should get it atleast within 10 days max.
but they are busy ppl, lot of cases with them like us.
so keep in touch with them, remind them.
 
Noramlly it takes 4 to 5 business days to reach INS to Lawyer

For me it took 6 days including 4 business day and sat and sunday.
 
RFE

According to AVI, RFE was issued on Jan 30 for both-my wife and me.
I received the RFE for my wife (Birth Affidavit). I have\'nt received yet. It is 14days over today. What should I do? Please advise.
What should I do for the birth certificate affidavit?
 
standard voice on AVM after receiving RFE response, and time?

I sent the RFE responses on Feb., 9, and tracked that the RFE responses were delivered at 1:15AM on Feb. 11. Today called INS
and AVM says:

On Feb. 12 we received your RFE responses. it is normally taking 350-380 days to process this kind case. However since this case was reviewed before sending RFE, It takes abot 380 days to process this kind case. We will mail you WRITTEN DECISION .....

Is this standard? how is 380 days counted? from the RD or from the date they received RFE responses? Please share your idea. Thanks
