Hi Guys....I still feel they have some Batch Program

Hi,
After being on this site for few months I think that they have some Batch Program which goes after the EAD, I 140, I 485 ,H1B....etc..

The file once assigned to officer, takes some action on the the case depending on the docs provided, or the information INS has regarding that perticular case.
The officer updates the few flags.....for that case and when batch programs run it either generates the RFE / Approval notice and the letters are printed and then mailed and also the appropriate avm message is generated for the case.

One eg.
For me last H1 B was filed in Aug00 and I received it in Mar01 after the 240 days....
I kept telling my attorney that something is wrong but he kept saying the cases are taking some more time...Then one day I called INS in jan01 and was told that In Oct 00 a RFE was supposed to be send but due to some glitch in the program the RFE could not be generated.....

 After that RFE was sent to me and finally in March01 I got my H1B.

Just my own observations .....no offence to anyone....
( frequency of the program could be daily,weekly ,forthnight,...monthly....etc...I DO NOT KNOW....)

I am not concerned whether it is a Batch program or Case by Case approval. What I want to know is when May RD approval flood will come.. Singh Sahib, what do you say..

I think the time has come to talk to senaros and start a campaign.
ISN.ORG could be the place.

Last time they did a fab job of gatherin support for s.2045 which got several good reforms.

March 2001 RD folks still waiting in Middle of Jan 2002 is ridiculous.

    I just checked the AVM and found that my AOS has got approved as of JAN09-2002.
    The AVM has changed for my case but for my wife\'s case it still plays the old message "On december 29...."

    I am not sure if this is a AVM glitch. My AVM never changed to FP process resumed or whatever, but today I hear its been approved on Jan 10th..Hard to
    believe, as i see no other May approvals

    One question: Can I take my copy for PP stamping in Sanjose or should I collect the original copy from my Attorney. What is the best time to go to Sanjose INS office.

Total number of approvals in this week so far : around 10/130

That is about 8% - I don\'t know if this is good or bad.

If we see 28 approvals in the next week , I may start feeling good again.

Congrats. now that your case is approved can you do some R & D on priority dates getting retrgressed. Here is some input
Year Quota
1997 - 1999 95*3 285,000
2000 115,000
Total 400,000
Assuming that around 100,000 either got approvals, laidoff, not filed category
We are left with 300,000
if the per year quota 140*2 280,000
dont you think everyone whose PD is before Sept 2001 should not worry about retrogression of PDs
