JAN 02 Case transfered to LA office ******

I checked My online status today and it says -
On April 29, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in LOS ANGELES, CA for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in LOS ANGELES, CA will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.

I have not changed my address changed 2 employers filed 2 AC-21.

As per my attorney this is usually done to share the work load some times.

1) Is this true or he is saying to comfort me.
2) He couldnot answer as to how long will it take for the interview.

Please let me know if have any info.

to LA office.

Post me if you got any idea of time frame for interview.
 
It is always wiser not to send in a AC21 unless asked for by RFE. The case might be transfered if the CSC deems an interview essential to approve your case. It is probably just to make sure you have a job and your company the finances to pay you your salary.

Don't worry, interviews are usually set up within a few months at most service centers, after which you are home free.

My 1 AC21 was filed before and the second one with RFE on 4/19/2004 looks like the RFE reply triggered this.

Let me know if there are any similar experiences.
