i am currently doing my resdiency in medicine on a j2 visa and will finish residency along with my husband who would have finished 7 years on his j1 visa( surgery training). can i get back into the country after that on a j1 visa to do my fellowship or do i have to wait for 1 year between applying for a j1 visa after being on a j2 visa. can my husband accompany me on a j2 visa if my visa is approved.if we decide to stay in the usa after that do we have to get independent waivers. Please advise.
