J2 ti H1 issue

I am from India, currently in US on J1 visa. My wife holds a J2 visa. She got her work permission (EAD) and has started working. Her employer has agreed to sponsor her H1b visa when her J2 expires (ie June 2006). Both of us are subject to 212e. I know that I would need to get a waiver for getting my H1b. Does my wife need to get a waiver for switching over to H1 b from her current J2 status? Please giev your suggestions. Thanx in advance for your time.

if you are not subject to HRR, you can change your status to H1, but you have to find an employer willing and able to sponsor you for H1B. THe employer's lawyer will take care of all the paperwork. You can't really do anything yourself.
