J2 status after separation

I am a J1 visa and I sponsored my husband on a J2. He has sepafrom me after gaining entry to the US. I want to discontinue my sponsorship of his visa. I hope no one had a similar unfortunate experience but I would very much appreciate any input about what to do. Thanks!

I you guys separated legally then he has no choice But to go back. I am not sure if you can withdraw your sponcership otherwise.

Yes you can discontinue his sponsorship cos he'll need you to file for continuation of his j2 status on his behalf, and if you don't he simply does not get his j2 renewed.
