J2 EAD restrictions

I am coming to work in San Francisco on a J1 with my wife on a J2 visa, if she gets her EAD in the US can she work as a nurse subject to licence. I read that J2's can't practice medicine, is this just for doctors or nurses also?

Any info would be great as I am fed up phoning the different organisations and getting nowhere.

Thanks.

J2 EAD has no restrictions at all, she can do nursing, practice medicine, ...etc if she qualify to. The point is; some employers (resident programs) for example will not higher someone on J2 visa even with EAD just because of instability and his status is dependent on other (J1). If any one agree to higher her for that position, that is good and no legal problem with that.
