Hi,
My J1 waiver application based on NOC has been approved on May 10, 2006 from Texas service center (TSC). But still I didn't have receive the notice yet. Anyone have idea about the contact address or phone number of appropriate person in TSC? If it was missing, what can I do?
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Two things! Either call the 1-800 number and let them know that you have not received it and they will reuqest it on your behalf. Secondly you can write to TSC along with the copy of the RECEIPT explaining ur situation. You cannot contact TSC over phone.

Hi there!

I am in the same boat: I found out that my I-612 waiver application was approved on May 09 at the USCIS CSC. But I had to call the Call Center to get this information; the case status check did not reflect the approval! The only thing they changed on the case staus web site was the date.. the rest remained the same.
However, I have not received the waiver approval notice which I urgently need to complete consular processing for my new visa. I can't believe how unreliable they are.
I wrote about eight letters to the CSC including all the necessary documents just to find out that this was completely useless: Two month later they replied to my complaint letters that inquiries can be made only via the Call Center. Of course I had contacted them, too.. but they are also increadible inefficient.
I just hope they sent the approval notice soon.. otherwise I have to cancel another flight ticket.

No response from USCIS

MissKitten,

How did you know that your case I612 was approved by CIS? I have a worse delay, since 10/14/05 no notice from CIS.
I finally applied for adjustment of status without the final decision from USCIS, only based on DOS fav.rec. I was sent for fingerprints and haven't heard anything else so far.

Hi Latazee,

well, I assumed it because they changed the date on the case status web site.. but only the date! nothing else.. it was still saying "it will takes us 60 to 90 days to process this kind of application". So contacted the National Call center and took the option "approved petitions". There I was told my petition was approved.. however, I still haven't received the approval notice..
Which Service Center is processing your application? I heard the CSC is notoriously slow and they are completely backlogged...

Hi,
Thank you all.
Do you have idea about the envelope by which USCIS send final approval notice? Is it self addressed envelope, that we sent (2 envelope) to DOS along with other papers?

The same story

MissKitten,

Thanks for the reply. I also had the date changed on my case status. The favorable recommendation from DOS was sent on 10/14/05, and the date on my I-612 was changed to 11/9/05 but the text remained the same "It will take 3--90 days..." I haven't received any notice from USCIS. Complete silence.

I just called the National Call center and got a person on the phone but he said they don't have any information on the "approved cases". MissKitten, can you give me the number I can call this National Call center? Maybe I called the wrong number. Thank you.

Hi Latazee,

you got a receit notice from USCIS in Nov 2005, right? The date 11/9/05 is the day when USCIS Service Center entered your I-612 into the system after they received it from DOS in Washington.. it's not the approval date.. if it hasn't changed since, your case probably wasn't touched.. it's just sitting there.. they are completly backlogged.. if you don't actively follow-up they won't process it.. if they say "it takes 30 -90 days" it doesn't mean anything.. if your case is 30 days outside the processing time, you are eligible to make an official inquiry via the National Call Center.. just pick the appropriate option in the call center menu.. there is only one number (800 375 5283).. you just need to pick the right option..
Since the fav. rec. was sent in Oct 2005 you need to folllow-up with USCIS! Otherwise are going to wait forever..

The final approval notice is sent in an USCIS envelope.. the self-addressed envelopes remained in Washington.. probably in the dust bin..

Guys! Keep in mind, this is a two step process:

1) DOS Washington
2) USCIS Service Center

J1 waiver final approval notice..Do I need to file I-824?

Hi,
Still, I am waiting for J1 waiver final approval notice. After 30 days, I called national customer service center and updated my current address. The person whom I talked told me, he is requesting to USCIS for another copy of approval notice. After 15 days, I called again. This time I talked with another person. He told me, I need to file I-824 for duplicate approval notice.
From internet search, I learnt I-824 is filed for other documents not for I-612.
It will be highly appreciated, if you please share your ideas and experiences.
Today, I have just passed 48 days, but still..............................................
