J1 waiver - urgent assistance requested

I applied for J1 waiver as follows:
- To Waiver review division St. Louis: Feb 28, 2007
- Sent the "3 No Objection" certificates (received from india) to Indian Embassy, Washington: Feb 28, 2007
- Indian Embassy forwarded "Final No Objection Certificate" to Waiver Division, Washington on Mar 6th 2007 (by normal mail I guess, since I received the copy of it on Mar 20th)...

My question is: My case status is not yet available on DOS website? What could be the reason. How & who do I contact for this. Is there a telephone number I can call. I did get a number, but one can never talk to an operator ...its all automated. I also sent a fax to Waiver division in washington.....but no response. What do I do!! Im in a fix.

Need your advise.

j1 waiver problem

Hi sunny,
The washington embassy despatched my waiver to DOS on February 20th.The DOS website doesn't mention that they have recieived it.How did you come to know that ...Indian embassy Washington has despatched the letter.Also you got it very fast.It's already 5 weeeks and they have not yet mentioned anthing in the DOS website that they have received my form.

I did not read it properly,I too have the same question .......when will they notify me about my waiver status.Any questions,it's already 5 weeks!!!!!!!!!!.

My advice is just be patient. It took a month for my papers to show up online (check my signature), and over 5 weeks for the NOS. It seems that they are pretty slow with opening letters. At least everything else went pretty fast. Good luck
 
J1 waiver

I spoke to US Visa office washington yesterday. I told this lady that its been close to 3 weeks since I sent my waiver papers to St. Louis Waiver office and my status still does not show on their website. Well she said this is not alarming :eek: ...If it comes up on thew website within 6 weeks...then thats the normal trend..And there is nothing we can do about it. No followup possible until it shows up on the website. Just wait and watch.

THIS IS AMAZING :D 2 minutes after I sent my previous message...I went and checked the website again.....And guess what....my case status has appeared... The receipt dates are as follows: Status is "Pending"
