hello everyone,

I am searching for a J1 WAIVER JOB in PA in and around PA. I am eligible for boards in June 2008. Can someone guide me as to how to go about it? My speciality is Internal Medicine

Thanks

what is your specialty? Inernal Medicine? The first step is to look for a MUA that is looking for physician.

hi pacardoc,

I visited the link you posted. Thank you very much. How do I find out now whether they are looking for a physician?
Tanks again

Again, what is your specialty? i am currently working in an underserved area and they are looking for specific specialties.

Internal Meidicine. I am PGY2 in internal medicine. Will they accept people who have completed two years of residency or they want people who have completed three years?

You need to complete the residency and be board eligible or certified. I'll ask the hospital recruiter if they need IM specialist.

Can a Medical Resident in PGY2 IM on H1B visa apply to MUA and get his Labor Certification waived for GC ?

If you are on an H1b visa then you don't need to get a J waiver. All you need is your future employer to continue your H-1 and then you can file for PERM.

well thank u for ur reply

I know that MUA are for j1 waiver

In my case I complete my residency at same time I complete my 6th year onH1B

So I have to file my GC in second year of IM residency itself

Is it possible to do so?

i know in some cases one can file their GC in second year of Residency ( PGY2) under title of " genral practioner physician "
