J1 Visa and GC

Hi,

I am looking for some advice regarding obtaining a J1 visa for my wife. She is a doctor by profession and she is planning to apply for her residency in next year (2010). However, found that it's really hard to find an H1 sponsorship from a hospital. Most of the hospitals encourage to go for a J1 visa. The issue I have is that, I have already gotten my I-140 approved and awaiting the date becomes current for 485 stage.

In case, if my wife gets her J1 before we start our 485 stage, will she have any complications in changing her status from J1 into GC or EAD?

Your advices are greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Can you clear my doubt. I had a interview for J1 Visa. My case is undergoing administrtive processing. 8th week is progressing. During my interview VO advised me that Processing time may take normally 4-8 weeks. However, i am waiting to hear about my case. If you know anything related to my issue, please inform me.
