j1 Training exceeding 7 years

Hi All,
I am a obgyn resident and matched in gyn-oncology program for fellowship. My residency is 4 years and the fellowship is 4 years as well. I am on J1 visa. What will happen when I start my fellowship? Will I be able to complete the program or will I have to terminate my fellowship at the 7 year mark which will leave me 1 year short. Please relpy. Thank you so very much.

You can request extension of the J till you finish the fellow (99.9% your request will be granted)
