J1 to Greencard

Dear Mr. Khanna

Could you please assist me with this matter. I am J1 holder with not subject to 2 years HRR,since i entered in US as a F-1.
My fiance has applied for Green card,if i get married with him would i be eligible to get Green card. Are there any difficulties to get Green card from J-1 visa

if you entered the US as F-1, how come you are now in J-1 status? Did you change status? Whether you changed status from F-1 to J1, or entered on J-1 visa, you could be a subject to HRR.

Whether you are eligible to get a GC through your spouse depends on the category he/she is applying in.
