J1 to F1???, pls reply fast!!

Dear Friends,

Currently I am here on J1 visa in USA. I got my Final Waiver. Right now i have applied for MBA in program in college. and i got my I-20.

1. Could you tell me what documents i have to send for change of status to j1 to f1?

2. Do i have to send my original I-20 to USCIS or I can send photocopy of I-20??

3. Do I also have to send original Sevis I 797C?

If, If question 2 and 3 is YES and they would send me back my I-20 and Sevis I 797C??

Never send any originals. The service centers are black holes and you would never get them back. It not clear whether your COS would be approved since you applied for a J-1 waiver, which can be understood as immigration intent. It might be safer to get the visa from outside the US since they don't really check for the J-1 waiver situation as long you can show that you have strong ties to your home country.
