I am an EU citizen currently doing an internship in the US on a J1 visa. The expiration date is medium April. However, since I am not very fond of my training position I would like to quit before time due.
If I quit before time, I will have to leave the country within 30 days because of the J1 rules. For this reason I am interested in the possibilities in cancelling my J1 status and go to Canada and stay for 90 days so I can enjoy 60 more days than with the J1 Status - and then leave the country for good. Does anyone know whether it would be feasible?
