i am on 2 yr HRR going to finish in 7-8 mth.I am again getting j1 job in HARVARD..can somebody tell me that every time we take j1 visa ,does 2 yr hrr add on or is it that once we have undergone HRR we can be saved later on...plz help .....plz help
No, time does not add up. Even if you have 2 J1 visas with 2 yr HRR you only need to stay home for 2 years to fulfill the requirement.
I suspect the issue gets complicated if you apply for waivers.... Are you sure that your second J1 has 2 yr HRR? You may be in a good position to apply for the waiver while on your 2nd J1....
no i am not applying for waiver as i am already in my home country...and about to finish HRR...my second J1 will definately be given as i am medical professional and going to do job in radiology in harvard funded by them..if i complete my HRR and then go will that save me from 2nd HRR??
if i complete my HRR on 1st J1 will i be saved from next j1 hrr....can someone suggest me a good J1 issue related lawyer in INDIA or even abroad.....plz plz plz help
I see. I misunderstood you info. If you complete your 2 years and get another visa with 2 yr HRR then you will definitely have another 2 yr HRR requirement. The years do not add up if you move from one program/visa to another without returning home.
