My niece came from China on J-1 visa to take undergraduate courses in a university for two years. However, her J-1 visa is just for one year. She will finish her first year soon. Will she lose her J-1 visa and go into “Out-of-Status” if nothing’s done? If yes, what can she do to maintain a legal status?
