J-1 sponsorship

hi all

am i exempted from the 2HRR when my visa or the DS2019 form doesnt have ANY COMMENTS (no boxes checked in the DS2019).
how can i convince my employer to change my visa status? or do i have to wait till I get an Advisory opinion..donno how long is it gonna take..

thanx any and every help'll be appreciated..

According to provided information, you are not a subject to INA 212(e) 2Y HRR if your sponsor is not a government agency (see sunnie7 case). Please double check with your visa advisor at your university/company. If you are not sure you may request an 'Advisory opinion' from DOS.
