i had my interview and got approved may 14th 2010 ,the officer told me that i will get the oath letter in 6 weeks!
now i ahve to go back home ( my dad need open heart surgery and really want to be there this week )

So, i called my lawyer and he said not to leave because it will invalidate the case leaving between the interview and oath !!!!

please please please ,put your input on that ! what you think ? whats gonna happen ? if i leave !

thank you so much for your help and im sorry for posting several times !

You are allowed to travel at anypoint during your N400 process I assume you have your proper travel documents, when you get your Oath their is a question on the back that ask if you have travel since your interview you check yes and you should be fine.

Your lawyer is wrong. You can travel between interview and oath, as long as it's not for more than a few months. Even if you get oath letter for a date while you are away, you can still request to reschedule the oath.
