Hi all, first post.
Situation:
Thanks for your expertise.
Situation:
- Parents are both US Citizens through naturalization. They are 80 and 76 years old but are overseas.
- Their son who is UNmarried, 50+ years old, also overseas, applied to renew his tourist visa a couple years ago, but was denied due to "lack of social ties" in home country.
- Parents then filed a petition for the son's GC, but is taking a very long time. Couple years to go according to the latest schedule.
- Son got into an accident with traumatic brain injury. He is now dependent on a caregiver for basic day-to-day needs and financial support from parents.
- Parents want to go to USA but cannot leave son in home country because of his medical condition. Can he apply for some kind of visa because of his health problems even though he has his GC application pending? Will one affect the other?
- If he CAN get a visa to come to the USA, can one be provided to his caregiver?
Thanks for your expertise.
