it's been quiet here

Well

There does not seem like there is much happening.

From what I can see since the start of the year NSC (the 'Lincoln Logs') have been working on RFE cases. I have not seen any evidence of new cases being touched. This is good news if you have sent in your RFE response, but if you are like most of us your case is still in limbo there is nothing to report.

On the policy front, there seems to be good news is you are here illegally, but again of you are like most of us and chosen the path of greatest resistance (legal employment immigration), then there is nothing for us. Even the budget allocation is just the 2nd in a 5 year string of appropriations.

"In the end, it was the Sunday afternoons he couldn't cope with, and that terrible listlessness which starts to set in at about 2:55, when you know that you've had all the baths you can usefully have that day, that however hard you stare at any given paragraph in the papers you will never actually read it, or use the revolutionary new pruning technique it describes, and that as you stare at the clock the hands will move relentlessly on to four o'clock, and you will enter the long dark teatime of the soul." - Douglas Adams, Life, the Universe and Everything

I agree

paulclarke1,

I agree with you, although would like to add one more thing, they are processing EAD's , AP's, etc. I am not sure why aren't they taking care of any new cases yet...

They Ar eWorking

Yes they are working, which is great, but I have been here long enough not to get too excited about a 2nd FP, or a 3rd EAD/AP.

I think they are cleaning house of old cases.

US CIS just follows its System

I think US CIS Clearly knows what they are doing. If they really want to take charge and clean up the mess it is not really big deal. As per my calcualtion they spend almost same amount of time in issuing h1, EAD/AP or GC. To keep their job they process all other in decent time frame except GC. one way it is job security for them. As we can see they approved few april cases just prove they can do whatever they want. If they want they can approve GC instead of issuing/approving second FP/EAD/AP etc.

ALL YOU CAN DO IS WAIT

wonderful, Mr. Clarke!

if you get some time, also read Richard Dawkins' "Lament for Douglas" (on the latter's death) - you'll find it in his new book, "A Devil's Chaplain".

may be these'll numb any of your faculties not yet numbed by our great CIS.
