Last 3 weeks I don’t see any new approvals from VSC. Only REF cases are getting approved, which is usually approved by clerical level staff. It looks like some hold on I485 process at VSC!?

Any info? Please post.

how do you know, RFE cases are handled by clerical level staff.
Is the final approval also by them?? ,

I think the reason for the slow down is the mass RFE mailing done by VSC. They are probably waiting for the RFE responses. Of course this is assuming that nearly every one received an RFE. If I am not wrong a whole bunch of folks with ND in early Aug 1999 have received an RFE in Nov 2000. At least thats what it looked like on this board. Almost as though VSC is trying to buy time to do something else. Just a guess....

My lawyer called VSC and here\'s what she said.
VSC has been issuing RFE\'s not only for 485\'s but for other cases too.
RFE cases get priority over non RFE ones. Hence VSC is busy taking
care of the RFE responses which they are getting by the ton.
This is not only slowing 485\'s but all other applications too. In fact they are not processing
any cases rcvd after Sep 1 (Be it H1\'s or AP\'s or anything)
