It is very strange. What does this message from USCIS really mean? Please help !!

Hi,

One of my friends has just received the following letter in this week. His ND was 09/2003, and he has not done any RFI, BIO and RFE yet.

What does this message really mean? Is it an approval notice? or something else? I really don't know either. Can anyone help?

On November 15, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.

He said he recieved his RTD a few months ago and no pending case other than the I-485 at present time.

See the message that clearly indicates this notice is for the I-485 with its LIN number.

Uscis sent RFI to your friend.He's gonna receive it soon.Sometimes RFI come with Bio letter.
 
If his case was moved to Texas that message means nothing, Rfe, Rfi or Bio request ... I know a some folks with ND feb 02 and they get this message all the time since their cases were moved to TSC ...sometimes it changes to request or Bio but most of the time is the default message and doesn't change for weeks

it was not approval. that is a request for bio and other documents. I got same email notice and received request letter soon. Good luck to your friend! :)
