 Missouri Service Center Updates -04/23/02

The INS has instituted additional service-wide security measures which require a name check in the IBIS system. As a result of this new requirement, the MSC had to stop processing applications in order to install the necessary equipment and train their personnel. The MSC processing of cases were interrupted for a 21-30 day period. As of APRIL 15, 2002, the MSC is back up and operating in a normal manner. They have a backlog as a result of the shut down and going forward the processing times will be impacted due to the additional security clearance procedures required for each case.

Does this mean a delay of 21 -30 days at each center.

Does this mean a delay of 21 -30 days at each center.?

Missouri Service Center link does not say anything for I485 cases

This seems to be a localized incident. There is no mention about stopping I485 processes. They would specifically mention that they are stopping I485 processes.

Also how many I485 cases Missouri Service Center really process?

My Intention was

to show that yes, security concern is delaying INS processing , which includes 485.......Before I saw this I was hoping this was just a rumour!!!

Anyway, there are 3 July approvals on 19th April and 2 RFEs on April 17 th or 18th.

Check in greaty-k\'s rupnet.com. Processing of approvals became an utter slow.
