1. I have a B1 visa (valid for 10 years) stamped in my old passport which is on my maiden name. My old passport got expired and hence I got a new passport on my married name. Can I still travel to US on B1 with maiden name, stamped in old passport.
I have my marriage certificate as a proof of marriage. My first name still remains the same on old as well as new passports, only surname and middle-name (husband's name instead of father's name) have changed because of marriage.
2. Also I have H1 visa stamped in new passport for some company say Y. I have not yet travelled on H1 to US as company Y is not having projects as of now. I am currently working for company X which wants to send me to US on B1 visa (mentioned above in query 1). If I travel on B1 visa for company X, will my H1 visa for company Y stamped in passport get cancelled?
Company X had told me that they will apply for my H1 transfer even if I have not travelled to US on company Y's H1 and it is possible to do so. In case my H1 visa for company Y is cancelled upon entering to US on B1 and company X applies for my H1 transfer, will there be any problem in transferring H1, cause though my H1 visa stamp is cancelled, H1 petition is still approved.
