Issue with DV photo

Hi all,

I've been selected for the DV2022 with Asia CN under 5000.
However, after rechecked the DV instruction. I found out that there is an additional line after the image regulation for head size, saying "View Photo Composition Template for more size requirement details."
The description inside the link indicates that the eye height should be 56% to 69% of the image's height.

Issue:
I remeasured the photo I submitted for the DV. Sooner I noticed that the distance from the center of my eyes to the bottom of the photo was 1mm and 1.5mm lesser than the link's description, which unfortunately caused the percentage to be 54% and 53%.
The issue could be seen in the attached photo. I only leave the eyes due to privacy. Hope you understand.
I've heard that they took the examination of the information seriously, especially the photo.
I will head to the States this fall for school. Therefore, AOS would be my consideration.
1. I wonder if they will remeasure my photo whether manually or through some software?
2. Based on my situation, would you recommend that I proceed with my DV procedure (after entering the States) or relinquish this year's DV and apply for DV2023?

Don’t worry about it. If the submission software accepted (as it obviously did) it they won’t recheck the dimensions.

You could still choose CP even if you are in the US. Don't count on future DV selection.

So basically they discard all the applications whose photos didn't meet the requirement before drawing? And thus the only thing they'll check is whether the photo was the applicant and taken within 6 months?

I won't consider CP only if it's really necessary. Based on recent policies of my homeland and where I am going, I'll waste almost a month in quarantine if CP. But still, thank you for your suggestion.

Quarantine policy might change over time. I think it's too early to predict whether you'll still need to spend a month quarantine after FY2022 starts.

Just keep in mind that if you enter the US with a student visa, which is a Nonimmigrant Visa, and adjust your status later, you might or might not encounter some problem during your interview. Maybe some other people would have better insight on this topic.

They don’t let you submit the application if the photo doesn’t meet the standards.
