Issuance of 221 g and h1 b transfer.

hello Sir/mam,
i am currently on h1b visa. My visa is vaid until dec 2025. I am currently employed though a consultancy. I was working with, JPMC through my consultancy. MY project ended in dec end/jan first week. I travelled to india on dec 30,2023.

I was issued 221 g notice when I submitted my documents and passport for stamping, through dropbox. They called me for the interview with LCA,6 paystubs,w2 and i129 copy. I went for the interview and in which I was not able to expalin them what I will do after going back to US. Becuase my current project with my previous client already ended, so I didn't wanted to bluff so I told them the truth that I don't have a project currently and my company is looking for a project.

They put my case on hold. and they issued me another 221 g in which they have asked to submit updated employment letter with the new project information that I will be working after going to US. After submititng those docs, they will reconsider my application again and let me know the result. until then I will have to stay in INDIA.

What are my options in these scenario?

can I get my H1 transferred to another company while I am outside USA?

You can continue to look for a new job and begin the process of transferring your H1B status to another company. However, remember that the transfer process may take time and you will not be able to return to the US until it is completed. You also have the option to apply for an H1B visa with a new company, but this will also require processing time.
